Fantasy Football Brothers 1st look at the early RB ranks. Some of the higher drafted RB's look to rebound from a poor start. RB's Matt Forte has been a bust so far but Forte has a chance to rebound against a team RB Frank Gore shredded for over 200 yards on Sunday. RB Pierre Thomas looks like he might finally be healthy, add in the fact that RB Mike Bell looks like he will be unavailable Thomas has a chance to take his starting job back. RB's Brandon Jacobs, and Steve Slaton are two other backs that have yet to get going concerning fantasy owners everywhere, both have showed little so far to reinstill faith into their owners. We will be back friday with our final ranks. 1) Adrian Peterson - MIN - RB 2) Maurice Jones-Drew - JAC - RB 3) Matt Forte - CHI - RB 4) Chris Johnson - TEN -... read more

Here's our first look at Week 3 Wide Receiver Ranks. In Week 2: Andre Johnson bounced back big. Fitz is frustrated with Warner's short arm. Darrell Revis proved he can shut down anyone - including Randy Moss. Steve Smith saved Delhomme once again. Jennings - without a catch? Welker -  a knuckle ball last minute inactive? Ocho does the Lambeau Leap. The Giants receiving corps explodes! How do the prima donnas rank for Week 3? Let's take a look:  1) Andre Johnson - HOU - WR 2) Larry Fitzgerald - ARI - WR 3) Steve Smith - CAR - WR 4) Randy Moss - NEP - WR 5) Reggie Wayne - IND - WR 6) Calvin Johnson - DET - WR 7) Marques Colston - NOR - WR 8) Anquan Boldin - ARI - WR 9) Roddy White - ATL - WR 10) Greg Jennings - GRE - WR 11) Dwayne Bowe - KAN - WR 12) Vincent Jackson - SDC - WR 13) Santonio Holmes - PIT - WR 14) Chad... read more

Fantasy Football Brothers takes our 1ST Look at the QB ranks. QB Matt Hasselbeck moved all the way to the bottom until his injury status gets updated, though Seneca Wallace kills most of the value the Seahawks WR's have. Two of the  Top 10 rated QB's faceoff this week with a homecoming for the Boston College Alum Matt Ryan. Ryan returns to Boston to face Brady and the Pats. The Pats will look to get Brady back on track after an obviously frustrating game against the Jets. The Pats will look to get the kinks out of the offense against the Falcons. Atlanta has looked pretty decent so far especially through the air. Matt Ryan has picked up the slack as RB Michael Turner has struggled to get going early in this season. 1) Drew Brees - NOR - QB 2) Tom Brady - NEP - QB 3) Peyton Manning - IND -... read more

1ST LOOK WEEK 3: HIT or MISS?

Posted by in Fantasy Advice on Sep 21st 2009 and last modified on Sep 22nd 2009. (Print This)
Schaub punished the Titans, and Fantasy owners yesterday.

Monday means Fantasy Football Brothers unleashes our 1ST LOOK at the NFL to see which Fantasy Players were a HIT or a MISS. There were many fantasy owners that were concerned about their teams. Schaub and Andre Johnson put owners at ease with a great rebound performance against a very formidable defense. Meanwhile RB's Steve Slaton, Brandon Jacobs and Matt Forte continue to struggle early in the season, leading owners to doubting themselves. The new NFL Redzone channel is a Nightmare/Dream for people with A.D.D. like me. All I can say is wow and I need a second big screen T.V. Let's start with the HITS: HITS: Matt Schaub - HOU - QB Schaub rebounded very nicely torching the Titans secondary all day long with 357 yards passing 4 TDs. Kevin Kolb - PHI - QB Kolb filled in admirably for the injured McNabb chucking the ball 51 times for 391 yards passing... read more

Every Monday, and Tuesday FantasyFootballBrothers unleashes our 1ST LOOK articles. We will scour the fantasy world and get you the news you can use, breakdown the games, injuries and the timeshares. We will look at the Hits and Misses? Working the Waiver Wire, Early Position Ranks, and our injury report. Fantasy Football Brothers will update all of the injuries in more detail on Wednesday when the official injury report gets released. This list of injuries are the ones that happened yesterday, or were surprise scratches late in the week. We take a look at each injury, and the potential fantasy impact. Cincinnati Bengals Cedric Benson - CIN - RB Benson tweaked an ankle but continued to play on it racking up over 140 yards on the ground. We will update his status on Wednesday, but doesn't seem to be something to worry about. Dallas Cowboys Marion Barber - DAL - RB Marion Barber shredded the Giant Defense,... read more

Manningham has been running all over opposing secondaries

The knock on the New York Giants heading into the 09 season was their complete lack of legitimate wide receiver talent. After Plaxico Burress decided to shoot himself and seasoned vet Amani Toomer was sent packing, the G-Men were left with a wide-out corps headlined by an un-proven Domenik Hixon. The rest of the unit was considered a bunch of no-names or long-term potential projects. Granted it's only two weeks into the season, but the Giants receiver situation look just fine. Through two tough weeks of division play, Steve Smith and Mario Manningham have straight-up produced: Steve Smith Week 1 vs. Redskins: 6 catches, 80 yards Week 2 vs. Cowboys: 10 catches, 134 yards, 1 TD The way that Steve Smith has been playing, he won't be carrying the name as "the other Steve Smith"  for long. Mario Manningham Week 1 vs Redskins: 3 catches,... read more

Boldin still not 100%

Fantasy Football Brothers takes a look at the most hated word in fantasy football. Injury. We will look at all of the impact players, and their playing status. This list is for offense only. We will update this week as Sunday approaches. Updates in Parentheses. WE Will update as we get inactive lists throughout sunday. Pierre Thomas is active. Boldin is Active Breaston is Active Welker is OUT Fargas is inactive Walter is inactive Jamaal Charles is inactive Scaife is out Maurice Jones-Drew - JAC - RB MJD isn't on the injury report despite having bandages on his arm. Play him in all leagues. Kurt Warner - ARI - QB Warner suffered a stinger, though he is practicing, the injury has little to do with his QB play and more to do with his hip, the Cards just need to work out of their funk until Warner is 100%. ACTIVE Anquan... read more

760 VIKINGS V BUCCANEERS

Fantasy Football Brothers unleashes the first ever Fantasy Preview/Projections article. We thought you the reader would like the Projections instead of a game by game breakdown. I hope we were right. Several top 10 draft picks came up well short of even the most pessimistic expectations for Week 1, and as our article “Panic Time” (published earlier in the week) demonstrated, we need to remain vigilant as Fantasy Owners. With that being said, Fantasy is all about performance from the players, and management by us the owners. Decisions need to be made, and players need to released, traded, and baited in order to ensure success from week to week. We here at Fantasy Brothers encourage you to abide by the “4 Week Rule” before you begin to dismantle your team. What is the 4 week rule? Well, it’s exactly what it sounds like. Allow your team (with a few exceptions mentioned later) to play at least 4 weeks before you decide that it’s time to shake things up. While this rule tends to vary a little, a margin of one week or... read more

Week 2 Running Back Ranks

Posted by in Fantasy Advice,Running Backs on Sep 18th 2009 and last modified on Sep 19th 2009. (Print This)

1) Adrian Peterson - MIN - RB A very tasty match up against the lowly Lions. A.P. owners rejoice 2) Maurice Jones-Drew - JAC - RB M.J.D. was very productive against the Colts last week expect a bunch of touches against the Cards this week. 3) Michael Turner - ATL - RB Turner was shut down last week, despite the large amounts of carries. The Falcons will not abandon the run so look for Turner to continue to get a heavy workload against the Panthers 4) Chris Johnson - TEN - RB Johnson looks to breakout against the Texans, I'm expecting a big game for him this week. 5) Matt Forte - CHI - RB I thought Chicago finally found a QB to take the pressure off of the run game? 6) Steven Jackson - STL - RB How does an offense that lousy not get the ball once to Jackson through the air? A 4.2 yards per carry though makes... read more
