The tight end position has turned into one of the deepest positions in the NFL. While there are four really solid options who will always start the tight end run in most drafts, smart and savvy owners know they can wait and get one in the later rounds that will offer them great value with huge upside. When another owner wastes his pick on a TE, it just means somebody you like or need will slide to you. If there is a position to wait on, this is it, as even the four solid options have questions or red flags with injury histories, age and changing offensive schemes that might not fit their style of play. If you don't get one of the four when the inevitable TE run occurs, don't panic, remember to wait, those teams that selected those four no longer need a TE which means the remaining teams won't... read more

Houshmandzadeh has left a void to be filled and a numerous amount of targets to be inherited. Coles will play more of a possession role. Henry's talent has never been questioned, but his character has prohibited him from reaching his potential. Quarterback Carson Palmer has made comments, calling Henry "Baby Moss". That may be a... read more

There are some general rules with kickers. One is that they are unpredictable and a kicker will get the "shanks" from time to time. Two is to get one on a good team or get one whose team struggles in the red-zone. Three is get a kicker that plays in favorable conditions, whether it be a warm weather climate or a domed stadium. The last, most important rule of all is don't be the guy or girl at your draft that reaches for a kicker before the last two rounds. So without much fanfare or writeup here is Fantasy Football Brothers list of kickers to "target" at your draft 1) Stephen Gostkowski - NEP - KI 2) Rob Bironas - TEN - KI 3) David Akers - PHI - KI 4) Jason Elam - ATL - KI 5) Nate Kaeding - SDC - KI 6) Robbie Gould - CHI - KI 7) Mason Crosby - GRE -... read more

Rumors have been flying that Michael Vick would be signed by weeks end. Every team has been mentioned as a possible suitor at one time or another. According to ESPN's Chris Mortensen, Philly has stepped up and pulled the trigger. The birth of the "Wild-Cat" offense has created a new niche for the non-traditional passer. He has always been better on his feet than with his arm and the formation seems tailor-made for someone of Vick’s versatility . Teams that implemented "The Cat" in 08 used running backs or wide-outs who posed little threat in the passing game. Vick’s ability to do both is a offensive coordinator’s dream, and a defensive coordinator’s nightmare. Vick will take the formation to a new level. In terms of fantasy value, Vick’s ceiling becomes lower if he is categorized as a QB. He won’t have the type of impact that will warrant a QB start, but if he... read more

Wide Receiver week rolls on as our player profiles and projections are released. Elite route-runners have infiltrated the first round and dominate the 2cnd and third. The position is topped with stud performers, but the talent pool dries quickly. The First Round was once completely dominated by backs. Times have changed. The RBBC has super-saturated the position leaving few true workhorses and increasing wide receiver stock. With the majority of teams moving to a time-share style of running the ball, the quantity of runners has sky-rocketed, but the quality has been compromised. Every-down backs are a dying breed. With the second half of the first round being filled with an abundance of risky running back plays, ‘09 mock trends suggest that many are opting to go with a top-notch WR. Running back is an injury prone position, and is now one of the easiest roster spots to fill. Most leagues have adopted some... read more

Our Free Draft Kit Rolls on as Wide-Out Week continues here at Fantasy Football Brothers. Today we take a look at "tiering". "Tiering" is fantasy terminology for the word "grouping". Categorizing players according to fantasy potential can offer organization and comfort on a chaotic draft day. Tiering talent allows you to see where you may have to reach, or may be able to sleep on a specific player. Wide-outs have been gaining fantasy respect. Receivers have infiltrated the first round and appear to be dominating the 2cnd and 3rd. The position is talent-heavy at the top, but a significant drop off can be seen entering Tier 4. If you can grab a pair in the first 3 Tiers, your team is off to a solid foundation. Little separates the later groups, and decent depth can be stock-piled. TIER 1: Larry Fitzgerald, Andre Johnson, Randy Moss, Calvin Johnson - The clear top-4 King-pins. Little risk - high reward. Fitz and Andre should go... read more

Here at Fantasy Football Brothers, our Free Draft Kit rolls on as we enter Wideout Week . Wide receivers are finally getting the respect they deserve from fantasy nation. Today we take a look at the intricacies of the position. Tune in all week as we "go deep", exploring all aspects of route-runners. Stick with The Brotherhood and you'll be end-zone dancing come seasons end. The wide receiver position is a prima donna factory - producing some of the biggest egos the sport has ever seen. T.O., Brandon Marshall, Michael Irvin,"Ocho-Cinco" and Plaxico "Cheddar Bob" Burress are all members of this narcissistic fraternity. Heck, now a days - even Marvin Harrison is up for gun charges. Unfortunately for these outlaws there is a thing called the NFL's Personal Conduct Policy. There is a new sheriff in town - Roger Goodell, and he is taking no Sh*t. The NFL is not the NBA or the MLB - it is... read more

Welcome to FantasyFootball Brothers. We continue our Free Draft Kit Roll Out. It is Running Back week here at F.F.B. and today we have the writers combined ranks/projections. The running back position is under the greatest flux of any position with the nightmare situation called the Running Back By Committee. The R.B.B.C. movement is in full swing making the position diluted and supersaturated with specialized players and split duties. The second part of this post is our Pre-Season Awards for the Running Backs. The first week of camp is now coming to end the stories have been flying out of the camps at a break neck pace. The local, and national electronic media have been putting out gushing tales about how rookies and underused players from last season look impressive, and how all of the players that are returning from injury look explosive. Welcome to FantasyFootball Brothers. We continue our Free Draft Kit as we roll out the running backs. It has been Running Back week here at F.F.B. and today we release our rankings/projections with commentary. The running back position is under the greatest flux of any position with the nightmare situation called the Running Back By Committee. The R.B.B.C. movement is in full swing making the position diluted and oversaturated with specialized players and split duties. Though the list is very long, the ranks toward the end don’t necessarily mean the players won’t shoot up in the ranks come the following weeks. With the first week of camp stories have been flying out from the local papers and news media about how rookies and underused players look impressive, and how all of the players returning from injury look explosive.
