When the football world hears the words, "Westbrook will undergo ankle surgery" it's usually followed by a few groans and the feeling of Westbrook injury deja vu. It's June, and we're already looking at the Eagles injury report. But lets calm down for a second and analyze the situation... it may not be all that bad. Seeing how Brian Westbrook's procedure is expected to be minor in nature, this could be a great opportunity come draft day! At almost 30 years of age, Westbrook is surely near the end of his career as a running back in the NFL, but he hasn't slowed down yet. Last year he had 936 rushing yards, while catching 54 passes for another 402 yards and a career-best 14 touchdowns!
