This is our last RB rank until we release our Free Draft Kit, yeah you read that right Free! Mini-Camps began all over the N.F.L. this week. Injured players are trying to get ready for the long grind of a 16 game season. Position battles are going on all over the NFL, roles are being established, and defined. New looks and wrinkles are being added to offenses. Fantasy owners are left to make assumptions of every story that comes out of the NFL, or you can let us do it for you. Welcome to Fantasy Brothers…..
Ranks based on a Standard Scoring league
1) Adrian Peterson – MIN – RB
Still Number one, but recent A.D.P. numbers suggest 1A
2) Matt Forte – CHI – RB
Forte offers more value in a P.P.R. league, but has continued to climb up the A.D.P. ranks
3) Michael Turner – ATL – RB
Drafters every where do not seemed concerned by his 400 plus carries last year, I’ll tell you that it scares the hell out of me, L.J. says hello
4) Maurice Jones-Drew – JAC – RB
A new year, a new O-Line, a new starting job, what could go wrong?
5) Steven Jackson – STL – RB
Jackson has so much talent, too bad he can’t share some of that talent with the rest of his team
6) Clinton Portis – WAS – RB
Portis has been very consistent for what seems like for ever, even at the 6 spot he could be a steal here
7) Chris Johnson – TEN – RB
Speedsters that aren’t goal line backs shouldn’t go this high…. I don’t know if Johnson’s rank speaks volumes about his talent, or how thin the RB spot has become
8) Frank Gore – SFO – RB
A new run first offense with a bad dynamic Quarterback duo what’s not to like?
9) DeAngelo Williams – CAR – RB
I’m hoping that all his long TD runs were not a fluke
10) Brian Westbrook – PHI – RB
Knock Knock Knock, oh look Father time, and LeSean McCoy are here to visit, how nice
11) Pierre Thomas – NOR – RB
I love him here he should be ranked higher….Sleeper
12) Larry Johnson – KAN – RB
Don’t call it a come back…. Ok it is a comeback, a HUGE comeback, come on jump on the bandwagon
13) LaDainian Tomlinson – SDC – RB
I saw LDT go 4th in a mock draft the other day, man I wish that was a real league
14) Brandon Jacobs – NYG – RB
Do more carries equal more touchdowns, or more injuries? I was never good at word problems
15) Ryan Grant – GRE – RB
I’m hoping last year was an injury plagued fluke season
16) Steve Slaton – HOU – RB
I hate the fact that Slaton could finish with 1,300 yards and 5 TDs, stupid goalline backs
17) Ronnie Brown – MIA – RB
Ronnie says he is ready to breakout, I am ready to believe
18) Chris Wells – ARI – RB
My partner thinks he is going to be R.O.Y well that is good enough for me
19) Marion Barber – DAL – RB
Lots of TDs but less than a thousand yards is what I’m thinking, man I hate 3 headed monsters
20) Kevin Smith – DET – RB
Sleeper? The offense looks pretty good on paper, but you know what they say: that is why games are played on the field, and paper only gives you paper cuts
21) Joseph Addai – IND – RB
I think Addai has been banged up since his rookie year
22) Jamal Lewis – CLE – RB
I hate to tell all the rookie loving, back up wishing pundits, out there this little fact but: Lewis is still the starter, I have never seen a starter replaced without having it shake out on the field, whats that Willis?
23) Jonathan Stewart – CAR – RB
I love run first offenses
24) Darren McFadden – OAK – RB
Sorry Huggy Bear
25) Willie Parker – PIT – RB
I’m not counting Willie P. out until his next injury does it for me
26) LenDale White – TEN – RB
Contract year check, TD machine check, all he needs to do is shed some weight, Oh that’s right done that as well check!
27) Marshawn Lynch – BUF – RB
Trouble surrounds this cat, will he or won’t he be available for the first 3 games that is the question
28) Ray Rice – BAL – RB
No one has had a better off-season
29) Cedric Benson – CIN – RB
Another starter dealing with replacement fever
30) Derrick Ward – TAM – RB
With Graham still on the mend, Ward can grab a solid hold on the starting job before training camp
31) Shonn Greene – NYJ – RB
Rumors abound that Thomas Jones is on the trading block, good news for the rookie
32) Julius Jones – SEA – RB
A between the 20′s runner, who gets no respect
33) Justin Fargas – OAK – RB
Can still put up great numbers considering the Raiders dedication to the run…. The Raiders want you to think its because they like to run the ball but the truth is Russell doesn’t know how to throw the ball
34) Willis McGahee – BAL – RB
Lost his starting job in the offseason, that is weak stuff
35) Ricky Williams – MIA – RB
A lot of tread left on those tire
36) Fred Jackson – BUF – RB
Could break out with Lynch’s suspension looming
37) Fred Taylor – NEP – RB
I love him in the Pat’s offense, but does Belichik love him?
38) Thomas Jones – NYJ – RB
Trading block probably means the chopping block
39) Rashard Mendenhall – PIT – RB
Eagerly awaiting Willie P. scraps, I’m still not sold
40) Leon Washington – NYJ – RB
Washington’s value could sky rocket if T.Jones is moved, my fingers are crossed
41) Earnest Graham – TAM – RB
Needs to show up to camp healthy to get his share of carries, or its to the bench
42) Donald Brown – IND – RB
Does anyone else think it is weird that Brown is the heir apparent to a 4th year RB?
43) Knowshon Moreno – DEN – RB
Who Knows with the train wreck that has been Denver this offseason, but I still like Knowshon
44) Felix Jones – DAL – RB
Tons of talent, don’t be surprised to seem him take over the starting role by mid-season
45) LeSean McCoy – PHI – RB
McCoy is in the perfect situation, all “Shady” has to do is perform
46) T.J. Duckett – SEA – RB
A goal line back in Seattle, sounds like a winning combination to me
47) James Davis – CLE – RB
Some people including my co-workers are ready to give anyone but Jamal Lewis the keys to Browns offense, maybe they are right
48) Reggie Bush – NOR – RB
Umm Reggie this isn’t a PPR ranking what are you doing here? Don’t flash the Kim K. card, Ok you can stay.
49) Ahmad Bradshaw – NYG – RB
Bradshaw will probably lose snaps to Ware, and become a 3rd down specialist,
50) Jerious Norwood – ATL – RB
Big hopes, big dreams, big reach, big disappointment
51) Darren Sproles – SDC – RB
I love watching this mighty-mite in the open field
52) Danny Ware – NYG – RB
I actually like Ware, he has sleeper written all over him
53) Tim Hightower – ARI – RB
I have got no love for Hightower
54) Chester Taylor – MIN – RB
Mr.Handcuff… With rumors of wildcats in Vikings camp, maybe Taylor will get more action
55) Chauncey Washington – JAC – RB
Sshh a sleeper
56) Sammy Morris – NEP – RB
Morris is a beast when he is on the field, the big problem is it seems like its always the “when”
57) Dominic Rhodes – BUF – RB
All he does is steal jobs
58) Tashard Choice – DAL – RB
Choice was pretty effective when playing, the problem is he is 3rd string behind 2 very good running backs
59) Patrick Cobbs – MIA – RB
Cobb’s value goes up if Ricky Williams gets moved
60) Laurence Maroney – NEP – RB
Bust
61) Kevin Jones – CHI – RB
Forte can’t play every single down can he?
62) Mewelde Moore – PIT – RB
This guy saved my fantasy season last year, love you man
63) Jamaal Charles – KAN – RB
Charles is ready to disprove my L.J. rank
64) Maurice Morris – DET – RB
Morris finishes every season as the starter, and I don’t know how, some one really should do a documentary
65) Rudi Johnson – DET – RB
A 3rd string running back in Detroit would have been a better joke last year
66) LeRon McClain – BAL – RB
McClain has been solely at FB this offseason, but that doesn’t mean he can’t steal TDs
67) Glenn Coffee – SFO – RB
I haven’t decided whether it is too early to label him a bust or not
68) Mike Bell – NOR – RB
Thomas will need an occasional break

CRACK kills, you really should stop smoking it if you plan to have a relevant fantasy site. This was without question the worst ranking I have seen. Did you just pull them out of a hat and add a stupid comment?
I like the Pierre Thomas pick. I think that he will be undervalued come draft day.
In terms of LJ – I won’t call it a come back. LJ before Slaton, Jacobs, LDT, and Barber? LJ as a sleeper is one thing – ranking him in the top 12 is another. Not sure on that one.
Im not sure about Steven Jackson being that highly ranked. He has the ability of putting up big numbers but seems to be more of a gamble then a sure bet. Ronnie Brown is on my radar and im predicting him to produce better than his draft position. He should put up big numbers.
Jeff,
I was just wondering what exactly made this the worst ranking ever?
Hi. I like the way you write. Will you post some more articles?
