We continue our tour of the NFL with our team by team Fantasy update leading all the way up to the NFL Draft. Today we stop in Miami, and Houston two teams looking to turn the corner in their respective divisions. Miami looks to build on an improbable playoff run, and Houston finally looks to break the .500 barrier. We look forward to hearing your questions and feedback. At Fantasy Brothers we ALWAYS answer your questions

NFL TEAM: MIAMI DOLPHINS

MOVES THAT MATTER: Miami’s worst 1-15 in 07 to first 11-5 in 08 transformation was nothing short of amazing…. A healthy RB Ronnie Brown and the reintroduction of the Wildcat formation to the NFL led to the turnaround….QB Chad Pennington brought stability to the QB position though the Dolphins have already named QB Chad Henne the eventual successor to Popgun Pennington in 2010….Miami needs to address their wide receiver depth in the draft, free agency or through a trade (Boldin would be a candidate)

FANTASY IMPACT: Look for RB Ronnie Browns carries to increase this year as he becomes fully recovered from his knee injury…. RB Ricky Williams performed admirably and is a great fantasy handcuff, but more than likely might be traded in a package for a wide out….We will keep an eye on WR Ted Ginn and see if he finally progresses and shows everyone he is a true WR1…. WR Greg Camarillo was a pleasant surprise last year and was a great Fantasy waiver pickup in PPR leagues but is returning from a torn A.C.L….. TE Anthony Fasano had a respectable starting debut for the Dolphin’s with 7 TD’s but will need to up his catch and yardage totals to become top 12 fantasy draft worthy

DRAFT PROJECTION: WR Darrius Heyward-Bey, WR Hakeem Nicks CB Michael Jenkins

NFL TEAM: HOUSTON TEXANS

MOVES THAT MATTER: The Texans have had back to back 8-8 seasons…. QB Matt Schaub must stay healthy throughout the season the Texans were 6-4 when Schaub started…. RB Steve Slaton came out of almost no where (yours truly had Slaton as a sleeper SEE Rookie RB Report) and annihilated opposing defenses with his home run speed, while WR Andre Johnson put up 115 rec. and over 1,500 yards 8 TD’s, and TE Owen Daniels solidified his spot as a Top 10 TE…. Houston needs to address depth issues at RB they are paper thin and at WR in Free Agency, and the draft…. WR Kevin Walter had great numbers last year but it probably more suited to the slot, and WR Andre’ Davis all but disappeared last year

FANTASY IMPACT: QB Matt Schaub can easily be a Top 10 QB in the NFL and in Fantasy Football but MUST stay healthy…. Drafting Schaub early could make or break your draft and will require another decent QB drafted in the top 10 rounds to protect yourself …. Don’t kid yourselves the Texans will almost certainly draft a big RB (RB Andre Brown, RB Shonn Greene) to take Goal line carries, and short yardage away from Slaton…. Keep and eye on RB Chris Brown who missed all of 08 with a back problems he could contribute if healthy…. WR Andre Johnson’s ceiling can’t get any higher except in the TD department…. WR Kevin Walter continues to thrive in Johnson’s shadow…. Look for even bigger numbers from TE Owen Daniels this year if ( I know it’s a big if) Schaub stays healthy….

DRAFT PROJECTION: RB Chris (Beanie) Wells, CB Vontae Davis

Tomorrow we head to San Francisco, and Minnesota
