Nightmare Scenario….

The NFL Draft is now over and players will now report to their respective teams after signing lucrative deals even though they have not done anything in the NFL. While we scratch our heads and wonder what the Cowboys and Raiders were doing during the draft, let's take a look at some nightmare scenarios for the 2009 Rookie class, Rounds 1 and 2 only. 1.)Matt Stafford-QB-Detroit--Learning on the job is never a good thing and this kid is a far cry from Matt Ryan. Although they have done a nice job surrounding him with some weapons in Detroit, it is not a given that he will start over Daunte Culpepper. We consider Stafford to be two to three years away before contributing from a fantasy aspect. 2.)Mark Sanchez-QB-New York Jets--Let me echo my prior statement that learning on the job is not beneficial to your fantasy squad. We see Sanchez starting from... read more

The 2009 NFL Draft kicks off Saturday at 4 P.M. All eyes here at Fantasy Brothers will be watching the draft, or as we like to call it having Christmas in July. Every player selected can have an impact in 09, and the Brotherhood will already be adding these players into our Free Draft Kit. We are always scouting who could potentially affect your fantasy draft, and your fantasy team come September, and beyond. Any questions or comments for us here at Fantasy Brothers are always welcomed.... # TEAM BILL ROB PAUL SHAUN 1 DETROIT QB MATT STAFFORD QB MATT STAFFORD QB MATT STAFFORD QB MATT STAFFORD 2 ST. On Saturday we will all be sitting down to see who the future of our hometown franchise will be. But for those whom are addicted to Fantasy Football we will have an ulterior motive. As Fantasy GM’s we will all be waiting to see where the premier talent of this years draft land, and in turn how that will effect the fantasy game. As fantasy fans there are "Dream" situations for players to fall into, and "Nightmare" scenarios that would just lead to more fantasy confusion. Here is a quick look of where some of the elite skill position players could be drafted, and how that effects their fantasy value in 09. RUNNING BACKS The Running Back by Committee has taken over the NFL and in turn, has forced Fantasy Owners to take a different perspective on the position. Though the RBBC infection has contributed to the near extinction of the true... read more

The combine has ended, players are prepping for their Pro Days on their respected campuses, and the picture of the draft is starting to play out through free agency. Let's take a look at the new mock and see who has risen' and fallen' down the board. 1.) Detroit-Matthew Stafford, QB, Georgia-The Lions appear committed to taking a quarterback now that Jon Kitna is in Dallas and Dan Orlovsky is in Houston. They have cleared room for this pick and Stafford now becomes the clear cut favorite. While I think the Lions would be wise to go in another direction, such as offensive tackle, I can't see them going into the season with Drew Stanton as the only backup to Daunte Culpepper. 2.) St. Louis-Jason Smith, OT, Baylor-I have said it before in other mocks, Orlando Pace is nearing the end, and the offensive line is a major concern due to age and... read more

The tour of all 32 NFL teams continues today with visits with two playoff teams in 08. Our first stop brings us to the Super Bowl runner ups the Arizona Cardinals. The Cardinals are still dealing with the huge distraction that is WR Anquan Boldin.  In Baltimore the Ravens look to rebuild on the defensive side of the ball. The defection of their Defensive Coordinator, and players favorite Rex Ryan and LB Bart Scott could effect the entire team. At Fantasy Brothers we look forward to hearing  your questions and comments. NFL TEAM: ARIZONA CARDINALS MOVES THAT MATTER: The Cards resigned QB Kurt Warner after briefly flirting with San Francisco.... Warner returns to a team that has some questions on the offensive side of the ball.... The biggest question continues to be the status of WR Anquan Boldin..... Boldin pouted in the NFC championship game and was more concerned about his... read more
