The RB offseason lowdown

1. LDT-S.D.

Does the consensus former number one pick ever return to high first round draftibility? Or does he go the way of Shaun Alexander and fall into Fantasy obscurity?

2.  DeAngelo Williams-Car.

Does DeAngelo’s breakthrough year warrant drafting him in the top five in standard league formats?

3. Derrick Ward-NYG

Is the other half of the super smash brothers running back tandem going to resign with the Giants or become this years Michael Turner? Or does the clock strike midnight for this Cinderfella wannabe?

4. Larry Johnson-K.C.

Does the disgruntled injury prone bruiser get his wish and get his walking papers? Or does the 27 year old resurrect his career with the new regime?

5. Joseph Addai-Indianapolis

Will Addai justify his ADP or will he continue to disappoint fantasy owners with his inconsistent week to week play and spotty health.

6. Pierre Thomas-N.O.

Does Thomas take over as the every down back for the high octane Saints’ offense? or do the Saints continue to think they made the right decision in drafting Reggie Bush?

7. Cedric Benson-Cincinnati

Which Cedric will show up, the Benson of last year or Cedric the Entertainer, wait and see, at fanstasybros.com we will assume the latter.

8. Baltimore Backfield

McGahee, McClain, or Rice? A three headed monster you don’t want to let out of the bag on draft day. Does Baltimore commit to one of the three, we see McGahee being phased out and used as trade bait when they lose Ray Lewis?

9. Denver Backfield

Bell, Hillis, Young, Torain, Pittman, another beast you don’t want to try and tame, steer clear on draft day. However with McDaniels in tow, and Shanahan ousted, look for this running back carousel to stop with the draft day selection of Knowshon Moreno.

10. Seattle Backfield

Morris, Jones, Weaver, Duckett, will have Jim Mora Jr. quoting his father, “Playoffs? You kidding me?! Playoffs? Don’t draft any of these guys if you want to make your fantasy “Playoffs!”

11. Marion Barber III-Dallas

Does the emergence of Tashard Choice and the ability of Felix Jones render Barber a fantasy afterthought? Sharing the load and returning to the role of touchdown vulture? Statistically known across the league is the fact that Barber’s production suffers after 15 to 18 carries.

12. Darren McFadden-Oakland

Will the highly touted phenom seperate himself from Justin Fargas and Michael Bush? Injuries to both feet hampered his production last year along with learning a new pro-style system stunted his growth in the NFL. We’re not in Arkansas anymore Toto.
